Employment
Sworn Officers
The Belgrade Police Department hires through the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MLETC). The Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium administers a written and physical test in order to create a pool of qualified applicants for the position of entry-level peace officer. In order to test, all applicants will be required to have valid government issued identification, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification, and be at least 18 years of age.
The Belgrade Police Department is not hiring any sworn officers at this time. Anyone interested in working for the Belgrade Police Department can still indicate their interest on the Consortium packet and upon passing the Consortium test they will be placed in the eligibility pool if an opening were to arise.
