The Belgrade Police Department hires through the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MLETC). The MLETC administers a written and physical test in order to create a pool of qualified applicants for the position of entry-level peace officer. In order to test, all applicants will be required to have valid government issued identification, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification, and be at least 18 years of age.
The Belgrade Police Department is currently selecting applicants for
the position of Sworn Peace Officer.
Applicants are being selected from the existing MLETC Candidate Pool. At this time the Belgrade Police Department is only selecting POST certified applicants. Anyone interested in working for the Belgrade Police Department can still complete the MLETC Application Packet and indicate their interest by checking the box next to the Belgrade Police Department on page 3. Upon passing the Consortium Testing they will be placed in the eligibility pool when a hiring cycle is initiated.
The Belgrade Police Department does not currently have any openings for non sworn personnel. If at any time an opening becomes available it will be posted here as well as at the Bozeman Job Service.
