The Belgrade Police Department hires through the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MLETC). The MLETC administers a written and physical test in order to create a pool of qualified applicants for the position of entry-level peace officer. In order to test, all applicants will be required to have valid government issued identification, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification, and be at least 18 years of age.
The Belgrade Police Department is not hiring any sworn officers at this time.
Anyone interested in working for the Belgrade Police Department should complete the MLETC Application Packet and indicate their interest by checking the box next to the Belgrade Police Department on page 3. Upon passing the Consortium Testing they will be placed in the eligibility pool. When an opening arises applications will be sent to the qualified candidates who were already in the eligibility pool at the time of the opening.
The Belgrade Police Department is currently seeking to fill a Police Clerk position. The job description, salary/benefits information and application process is being handled through the State of Montana Jobs Website.
