The Belgrade Police Department

 

 

      The Belgrade Police Department consists of 15 Sworn Officers, 3 Civilian staff members and 1 volunteer Chaplain. The Belgrade Police Department is responsible for investigating all crimes within the City limits from Misdemeanor to Felony cases. The Police Department is a proactive department with officers involved in Public Education, ICAC, CIT, SART, Bicycle Patrol and School Patrol. Officers continue to teach classes at the schools though we no longer have a full-time Resource Officer. Our officers are active with the community being involved with such civic activities as Special Olympics, MDA, 9-11 fund raising and numerous other volunteer activities.

 

 

 

Forms and Police Reports

   

The Belgrade Police Department does not currently provide for the filing of email or online police reports. To file a report with the Belgrade Police Department you must contact an officer at 91 East Central, Belgrade Montana or by phone at 406-388-4262. If it is an emergency dial 911. When reporting a crime please do not touch or tamper with anything related to the crime as it may hold evidentiary value.

 

When filing a report involving property crimes please try to gather any information regarding the property including the make, model, serial number and the replacement cost for the item or items. This will assist us better investigate the crime. For commonly used forms please CLICK HERE.

 

The Belgrade Police Mission

The Mission of the Belgrade Police Department is to Protect the lives, property and the constitutional rights of the citizens of Belgrade through fair and impartial enforcement of the laws of the state.

Serving the citizens of Belgrade is a privilege, not a right. The citizen is the most important person in our department; not an interruption of work but the purpose of it.

The department's successes are attributed to the high ethics, professionalism, integrity, courage and efficiency displayed by our personnel.
