The Belgrade Police Department

 

 

 

 

The Belgrade Police Department consists of 15 Sworn Officers and 3 Civilian staff members and 1 volunteer Chaplain. The Belgrade Police Department is responsible for investigating all crimes within the City limits from Misdemeanor to Felony cases. Officers in Belgrade operate as both Patrolman and Investigators. The Police Department is a proactive department with officers involved in DARE, Bicycle Patrol and School Patrol. Officers teach classes at the schools though we no longer have a full-time Resource Officer.Our officers are active with the community being involved with such civic activities as Special Olympics, MDA, 9-11 fund raising and numerous other volunteer activities.

 

 

The Belgrade Police Mission

 

The Mission of the Belgrade Police Department is to Protect the lives, property and the constitutional rights of the citizens of Belgrade through fair and impartial enforcement of the laws of the state.

Serving the citizens of Belgrade is a privilege, not a right. The citizen is the most important person in our department; not an interruption of work but the purpose of it.

The department's successes are attributed to the high ethics, professionalism, integrity, courage and efficiency displayed by our personnel.
